About
PixelPause started as a shared notes doc between three friends who kept texting each other about which mobile games were worth the storage space. At some point the doc got too long, so we turned it into a proper site with guides, first impressions and the occasional rant about clunky menus.
We don't chase every release. A game earns a spot in our catalog only after someone on the team has actually finished a decent chunk of it — enough to know how the mechanics open up over time, not just how the tutorial feels. That means fewer reviews, but ones we stand behind.
Our focus is variety. We cover RPGs, strategy, racing, puzzles, adventures and light casual stuff, because our readers don't play just one thing. If a game teaches us a clever trick, we pass it on in plain language.
Nobody here is paid by studios to say nice things. When we like something we explain why, and when a game frustrates us we say that too.
